Employment Opportunities

The University System office permits Universities and Agencies to post current job openings on our website. Not every University or Agency will post openings to our website. Follow us on X (Twitter) @systemoffice to keep current with all of our job postings. When a University/Agency adds a new posting, we will automatically tweet it out.

Salary Range Data

The State Universities Civil Service System office, on behalf of the Merit Board, approves salary rates and ranges for each authorized classification in use by Employers. Employers request Merit Board approval to establish, revise, correct, or delete pay rates or ranges through the Salary Data System, a web-based electronic approval process. All approved rates and ranges are compiled into a monthly report available in PDF format on the Salary Range Report page. This report is updated on the 15th (approximately) of each month. Listed below are actual, real-time, active pay ranges contained in the Salary Data System.

* The Hourly, Monthly, and Yearly tabs are calculations done for your convenience. However, they are based on calculations using the work week and hours per year based on the State of Illinois Central Payroll System calculations, and may not be completely accurate in certain circumstances (i.e. employees paid bi-weekly). Please refer to the Actual Reported Ranges tab for the approved range.
