Job Description
Governors State University is seeking to hire an Operating Engineer III to be responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of all power plant and related equipment required for proper physical plant operation. The Operating Engineer III/Steam and Power Plant Ill is responsible for performing a variety of engineering and maintenance tasks for Facilities Development and Management. Performs tasks and functions to maintain and operate the campus and residence halls in accordance with the mission statement of the University.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two (2) years of work experience in the maintenance and operation of steam and power plant equipment.
One (1) year of work experience in a position comparable to the Steam and Power Plant 11.
Must possess a valid Chicago Stationary Engineer's License.
Salary
$47.04 Hourly
