The Job Element approach to examining includes aptitude and achievement tests,
skill tests, training and experience questionnaires, and other tests to obtain
information about an applicant’s knowledges, skills, and abilities for a
specific class.
Administration
Except for specific multiple-choice and true-false questions, or aptitude test
answers, applicants shall be encouraged to request assistance from the monitors
in completing their examination forms. A copy of Directions for Completing Supplemental
Information form shall be given to the applicant and collected for reuse. See
Example 8.1a
The monitor shall check to see that the examination is completed before the
applicant leaves the testing area.
