    Responsible for the general internal office human resource function for the University System employees.
  - Classification, Examination and Compensation
    Develops, revises, and performs routine administration of the classification and corresponding examination system.

    This Report provides an overview of our business operations, an analysis and update of our many programs/initiatives, and a brief description of our agency action plan.

Nonstatus Appointments are made in accordance with qualifications and standards established by the State Universities Civil Service Act (Act) (110 ILCS 70) and Section 250.70 of the Illinois Administrative Code (80 Ill. Adm. Code §250.70), are noncontinuing in nature, and permit termination by the employer.

Types of Nonstatus Appointments:

Temporary Appointments* (See Section 36m of the Act (110 ILCS 70/36m)
Provisional Appointments (See Section 36n of the Act (110 ILCS 70/36n)
Apprentice Appointments
Intern Appointments
Student Appointments* (See Section 5.1 of the Exemption Procedures Manual)
Extra Help Appointments*

* Appointment notices need not be submitted to the University System Office.
