Job Description
The ETL developer will provide support in all aspects of the design, mapping, development and testing of data movement with emphasis on the Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) process. S/he will develop technical specifications based on the data model that was created by the Data Modeler. They will be responsible for contributing to the design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and documentation as well as upholding of ETL standards. S/he will utilize Informatica as the ETL tool primarily against Oracle as the back end database.
S/he is responsible for identifying and implementing data warehouse features affecting history, post or future dated updates and error handling that will be used to load and access all operational data store, data warehouse, and other data structures.
The individual(s) in this role work as a member of the Administrative Technologies-AIM team as well as university staff in support of business intelligence to support and promote data usage within the University community.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's Degree
2. Two or more years ETL design/development experience (e.g. Informatica, DataStage)
3. Two or more years experience with job scheduling tools (e.g. UC4, Autosys, Ctrl-M, TWS).
4. Advance knowledge of PL/SQL.
5. Knowledge of relational and dimensional data models and Oracle databases
6. If this position is Security Sensitive or if you are subject to a criminal background investigation based on University policy, employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation. You may not begin work until the criminal background investigation results have been received and cleared by Human Resources.
