Job Description

This position serves as Store Manager of the TechZone Sales Center, a University department providing technology resources and vendor e-commerce solutions to assist students, faculty, staff, and annuitants in purchasing personal computers and related items. This position is also responsible for staffing, managing, and developing a team of student technology experts for the TechZone Sales Center.


Qualifications

1. High school graduation or equivalent.

2. Any combination totaling two (2) years from the following categories:
a) work experience in retail management and customer service
b) college course work in Information Technology or closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
- 30 semester hours equals one year
- 60 semester hours or Associate's degree equals two years

3. Knowledge of emerging consumer technology.

4. Demonstrated basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Apple's iWork productivity software.

5. Familiarity with both PC and Mac computing environments.

6. Self-motivated, including the ability to lead, research, and learn independently.

7. High level of time management and organizational skills.

8. Ability to multitask and ensure completion of projects.

9. Ability to be a productive member of the TechZone and Student Technologies team.

If this position is Security Sensitive or if you are subject to a criminal background investigation based on University policy, then employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation. You may not begin work until the criminal background investigation results have been received and cleared by Human Resources.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Retail experience in an IT setting.

2. Customer service experience in an IT setting.


Salary

$2,583.00 - $2,917.00 per month
