Job Description

This position coordinates and plans departmental programs and manages administrative operations for the College of Fine Arts. Manages College events include scheduling, budgeting, promotions, and supervising student employees.


Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, Fine Arts, or related field.

2. Two (2) years of professional level managerial, accounting, and/or business experience, one year of which involved working within a team environment and dealing with administrative matters.

3. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook (email and calendar).

4. Ability to work effectively with the staff and public.

5. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

6. Organizational skills, initiative, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.

If this position is Security Sensitive or if you are subject to a criminal background investigation based on University policy, then employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation. You may not begin work until the criminal background investigation results have been received and cleared by Human Resources.


Salary

$3,183 - $4,140 per month

The Civil Service examination for this classification is a credentials assessment. No participation other than submission of applicant materials is required from applicants that qualify to take the exam. The active register for this classification will be voided after July 21, 2014, or when the position is filled.

Other documentation such as college transcripts (may be unofficial) and/or a DD214 (official military discharge) must also be uploaded if applicable in order to receive the maximum eligible points on the civil service exam.
