The Department of Event Management, Dining, and Hospitality is one of 12 departments within the Division of Student Affairs. It provides the campus community and guests with high-quality, efficient, and innovative event services and dining options in a variety of settings dedicated to accentuating and enhancing the campus experience in a diverse community.
This position plays an integral role in accomplishing this goal by performing, supervising, and coordinating the work of Food Service Sanitation Laborers in the dishroom, ware washing area, and kitchen facility. Persons in this position must maintain a safe and sanitary work environment in all areas of the dining center.

Job duties included, but are not limited to:
- Supervise, instruct and plan the work of Food Service Sanitation Laborers.
- Ensure sanitation and work place safety policies and procedures are being followed including proper use of chemicals and cleaning equipment.
- Assist with employee training and evaluation, document concerns with employee performance, assist administrators in addressing performance issues.
- Perform duties of Food Service Sanitation Laborer as necessary.
- Oversee and participate in the operation and maintenance of the dish room and ware washing area, ensuring that permanent ware are properly cleaned, transported, and stored.
Qualifications
1. Two (2) years of clean-up experience in a food service unit in an institutional or comparably sized food service facility.
2. If this position is Security Sensitive or if you are subject to a criminal background investigation based on University policy, employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation. You may not begin work until the criminal background investigation results have been received and cleared by Human Resources.
3. A final candidate must complete a post-offer pre-employment physical exam. Employment is contingent on the successful result of the pre-employment physical.
Salary
$19.95 per hour
