Job Description

The primary purpose of this position is to successfully collect on debt that is owed to the University, and adequately maintain and collect NDLS/Perkins funds Under general supervision, this position implements approved collection procedures related to repayment of accounts receivable debt, as required by FDCPA and the University. This position also assists in the day-to- day operations of a multi-functional office.


Qualifications

1. Any one or any combination of the following, totaling one (1) year (12 months), from the categories below:
a) collection, consumer credit, or business experience that required knowledge of collection methods and procedures
b) college course work that included courses in finance, accounting, business administration, business management, or a closely related field
· 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
· 60 semester hours or an Associate's Degree equals two (2) years (24 months)
· 90 semester hours equals three (3) years (36 months)
· 120 semester hours or a Bachelor's Degree or higher equals four (4) years (48 months)
2. One (1) year (12 months) of collection experience comparable to the Collection Representative level or in other positions of comparable responsibility
3. If this position is Security Sensitive or if you are subject to a criminal background investigation based on University policy, employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation. You may not begin work until the criminal background investigation results have been received and cleared by Human Resources.


Salary

$13.97 - $14.74 per hour
