Job Description

As a member of UIC HR Recruitment & Testing team the Human Resource Representative (CS Testing Proctor) will support the Universities critical civil service hiring activities. This role will work under general supervision providing professional Testing functions by administering and grading State Universities Civil Service System exams for the University of Illinois at Chicago. This will include the critical role of certifying requisitions, schedule exams, prepare and maintain exam schedules, employment registers, maintain logs and prepare reports as necessary. Maintain confidentiality of all documents handled and produced. Interact daily with a large volume of applicants and employees by telephone calls and/or in person. Must meet established deadlines for the processing and grading of exams, maintenance of registers and the certification of requisitions.


Qualifications

1. High school graduation or equivalent
2. Any combination totaling two years
a. progressively more responsible work experience performing duties comparable to those listed for the previous lower level of the series
b. college course work in human resource administration, business administration, or a closely related field, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
- 60 semester hours equals one year
- 90 semester hours equals two years

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bilingual language skills with the ability to read, write, speak and translate Spanish/English
- Previous knowledge and experience with the statue/rules and procedures of the Illinois State Universities Civil Service System.
- Previous experience administering and grading standardized exams
- Advanced skills within Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working with and communicating to diverse and dynamic populations
- Excellent customer service skills and abilities
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Adaptability with the ability to manage multiple priorities
