Job Description
Assists with reviewing and processing procedure orders, preparing and maintaining instruments and procedure areas, and screening and educating patients prior to procedures. Performs procedures, collects and handles specimens, conducts waived testing, and communicates results while monitoring patients for abnormal indicators.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
1. High school graduation or equivalent.
2. One (1) year (12 months) of work experience as a phlebotomist within the last five years.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Knowledge of basic principles of lab medicine as it relates to medical clinical lab testing.
2. Manual dexterity.
3. Oral and written communication skills.
4. Ability to learn basic management principles.
5. Ability to learn basic computer operations.
6. Organizational ability.
7. Ability to maintain necessary records and reports.
8. Ability to recognize abnormal results and act appropriately.
9. Ability to interact effectively and appropriately with SHS facility personnel.
10. Ability to determine the validity of results and initiate corrective action.
11. Ability to manage several tasks at once.
Salary
$19.00 per hour
