Job Description
SIMULATION EDUCATION LEADERSHIP AND ACTIVITIES:
-Enhances teaching effectiveness by collaborating with simulation educators, clinical faculty, and other subject matter experts to develop curricula and assess student learning for simulation education.
-Design, develop, implement, assist with and evaluate learning scenarios, procedures, and practices. Collaborate with users to develop methods for competency testing.
-Collaborate with MSN-EP faculty in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of new courses, scenarios, simulation tools, research studies and other educational initiatives to measure learning outcomes.
-Participate in community outreach activities including promotional events and public relations activities related to the MSN-EP Simulation Center.
-Provide training for faculty and staff in the utilization of simulator equipment, scenario development and programming, and updates related to simulation education.
-Maintain and distribute simulation and immersive learning schedules.
EQUIPMENT AND TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT:
-Maintain simulation inventory including supply and equipment management.
-Operate and program simulation, skills, and immersive simulation equipment for learning sessions.
-Assure all simulation equipment is in good working order prior to simulation learning experiences.
-Maintain relationships with simulation vendors for product management and technical support.
DATA/REPORTING:
-Ensure accurate maintenance of all education and training records (simulator use, instructor hours, student hours, course materials, and evaluations), assuring compliance with accreditation standards.
-Complete periodic reports, including budget needs and data analysis of the MSN-EP Simulation Center.
OTHER:
-Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree.
2. A total of three (3) years (36 months) in education, training and/or work experience in the area of specialization inherent to the position. (Note: Master’s Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year of work experience.
3. Based on position requirements, additional education, training, and/or work experience in the area of specialization inherent to the position, may be required.
Additional education, training and/or work experience in the area of specialization:
-Registered Nurse with a Master’s in Nursing (MSN). (Required)

Hours: Hours may vary depending on departmental needs and may include days and evenings. (37.5 hour work week)
Location: El Centro Campus (3390 N Avondale Ave, Chicago, IL 60618).
Setting: In office, not eligible for remote work.
This position requires a background check.
Salary
$85,000-95,000
