Job Description
The Part-Time Clinical Faculty in Speech-Language Pathology provides clinical supervision and instruction to graduate student clinicians in support of accredited training requirements. This role ensures high-quality clinical education, supports community service delivery, and contributes to student success and program sustainability.
Clinical Supervision
Provide direct clinical supervision and instruction to graduate students in speech language pathology.
Guide students in managing client cases, including assessment, intervention, planning, and documentation.
Provide constructive feedback on clinical performance and evaluate student’s progress regularly.
Ensure all clinical activities comply with ASHA guidelines, state licensure requirements, and institutional policies
Ensure proper documentation of student hours, competencies, and client outcomes.
Professional Development
Stay current with advancements in the field by attending workshops, conferences, or webinars.
Foster relationships with local clinics, hospitals, or schools to expand clinical opportunities for students.
Mentorship and Advising
Serve as a mentor to students, guiding their professional and academic development.
Advise students on clinical practicum experiences and career pathways.
Qualifications
Current license as a Speech-Language Pathologist as required by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
Two (2) years (24 months) of experience as a licensed Speech Pathologist.
Salary
$35,100.00/Annually - $45.00/Hourly
