Job Description

Eastern Illinois University is seeking candidates for full-time, Program Assistant within the Office of the Registrar, for Athletic Compliance, Curriculum, and Systems Coordinator This position will provide support for student athlete eligibility, curriculum management, the degree audit system, coding within the student information system, maintaining academic records, and customer service support while maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of academic records. This position interacts with various constituents across campus including athletics, admissions, the Council on Academic Affairs, the Council on Graduate Studies, Information Technology Services, academic advising, Certifying Officers, and other staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Student athlete eligibility and compliance
Curriculum
Compliance with the Illinois Articulation Initiative
Monitoring, troubleshooting, maintaining codes, testing, and researching student information system and degree audit system functionality
Leading a degree audit system user’s group
Readmission
Data integrity audits
Performs related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of general office practices and procedures
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
Skill in oral and written communication
Ability to work effectively with staff, the public, and outside constituency groups
Ability to organize and multi-task
Ability to supervise and knowledge of administrative concepts and methods.
Ability to utilize various computer software packages
Ability to work independently and exercise judgment in order to be able to analyze and investigate a variety of questions or problems


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, communication, social sciences, technology, mathematics, liberal arts, public health, or a field related to the position.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience using Microsoft Excel, other Microsoft Office software, and information systems.
Experience working with confidential records.
Experience compiling and analyzing data.
Experience interpreting rules, regulations, and compliance.


Salary

Current starting pay rate for this position is $19.82

The core work hours of this position are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.

Starting Salary/Pay Rate Range

Current starting pay rate for this position is $19.82
