Job Description
The primary responsibility of this position is to co-manage the Exams Office and coordinate text conversion for the Accommodations Office to ensure reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities and/or medical/mental health conditions through implementation of appropriate accommodations and collaboration with faculty/staff/departments to ensure accommodation compliance.
This position ensures equal access to Illinois State University programs, activities, and services for all Illinois State University students with disabilities and/or medical/mental health conditions through design and implementation of reasonable accommodations, support services and technical assistance based upon federal disability laws, Section 504 of the 1973 Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Americans with Disabilities Amendments Act.
Ensure the confidentiality of all student information and documentation.
This position is subject to summer academic break layoff, typically June through July.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree conferred prior to position start date, preferably in counseling, psychology, special education, rehabilitation, or another human services area.
Working knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to persons with disabilities and/or medical/mental health conditions.

d. Long-term planning and organization skills.

f. Crisis intervention skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with people with disabilities and/or medical/mental health conditions in a postsecondary setting.
Knowledge of the processes involved in providing accommodations for students with disabilities and/or medical/mental health conditions at post-secondary education level.
Knowledge of proctoring processes and experience with assistive devices and software packages.
Ability to take initiative, pay close attention to detail, multi-task, and change priorities expeditiously.
Salary
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
