Job Description
Domestic Violence Specialists are responsible for providing DV consultations to child welfare staff, assisting with DV trainings, and assisting with other administrative duties.
Qualifications
Any one or any combination totaling two (2) years (24 months) from the following categories:
college course work in behavioral science, social work, sociology, psychology, or a closely related field as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
Associate’s Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
Bachelor’s Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)
work experience that provided a knowledge of human behavior by having demonstrated through public contact the ability to cope with a variety of people, (such as customer service, salesperson, or receptionist).
Salary
$58,000.08 annually; NIU offers a robust benefits package.
