Job Description

Eastern Illinois University is seeking candidates for a full-time Events Administrator Associate, for Admissions. This position will perform duties involved in all phases of planning, coordinating, and administering campus visit and admissions events. Responsible for the development and execution of visit programs and outreach initiatives designed to attract prospective and admitted students to Eastern Illinois University. Work is performed under administrative supervision and supports the functions of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary contact for all university academic departments and student support services for all campus events, as well as for the University Web Team, Marketing & Communication, and Enrollment Management Operations for event promotion and webpage management
Assist the Daily Visit Coordinator in advertising, training, and supporting all Student Ambassadors
Manage operational budgets for visit programming
Prepare and maintain appropriate periodic/special operations reports and surveys
Develop and coordinate programs for special populations, including high school counselors, community college advisors, dual credit partners, etc.
Utilize CRM to effectively manage the event system
Provide superior follow up communication to internal and external stakeholders
Plan and execute successful action plans that’s support the annual Admissions Recruitment Plan
Promote and adhere to the Mission of the University and employee handbook
Perform other services as assigned by the Associate Director and/or Director of Admissions

Ability to effectively plan, delegate, and supervise the work of others.
Ability to work independently and exercise judgment in order to be able to analyze and investigate a variety of questions or problems.
· Ability to utilize a CRM and Microsoft products
Work Hours

The core work hours of this position are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Weekend hours will be required occasionally.

Starting Salary/Pay Rate Range

Current starting pay rate for this position is $3,750.00 per month.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business Administration, Student Affairs, or a closely related field.
One (1) year (12 months) of professional work experience in Events Planning, Conference Management, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or any other related field.
One (1) year of experience working in Admissions or a related higher education space would be preferred
