Job Description
This position provides administrative support and general office management for multiple units of the Dean of Students office housed in the Bone Student Center. This includes an Associate Dean, three Assistant Deans, seven full-time program coordinators, and multiple graduate students. In addition, this position supervises multiple student employees who provide administrative support to the units and the Student Involvement Center.
Additional Information
The Dean of Students Office units this position will support include Leadership Education and Development, Sorority and Fraternity Life, and Student Activities, which include campus-wide events such as Welcome Week, Festival ISU, Winter Fest, and sorority and fraternity recruitment/intake. This position will also partner with the Dean of Students Office Financial Associate who is housed in the office suite.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
High school graduation or equivalent
Any one or any combination totaling 1.0 unit of the following:
- Four (4) years (48 months) of work experience comparable to the third level of this series = 1.0 unit. This work includes performing a wide variety of office support tasks, which require the use of judgment and initiative and the ability to operate computer systems, using word processing, database and software packages. Knowledge of the organization, programs, practices and procedures of a department/unit is central to the performance of the duties.
- Two (2) years (24 months) of work experience comparable to the fourth level of this series = 1.0 unit. Function as an agent of the unit or organization by performing highly specialized administrative support duties. An in-depth knowledge of the organization, programs, policies and procedures of the unit/department is essential to the performance of the duties. Ability to use good judgment, operate computer systems, using word processing, database and software packages, and to exercise discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word with the ability to create reports and tables.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to prioritize assignments and manage multiple tasks.
Salary
$20.11 - $25.36 per hour, combined with an excellent benefits package
