Job Description

This position is directly responsible for the operations of housing through contract management, billing processes, recommending changes to student and data management, and compiling data and reports for administrators. Additionally, they will assist, train, and liaise in communications with families, students, residential staff, and institutional partners to manage changing needs and determine appropriate resolutions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
1. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
2. Any combination totaling two years from the following categories:
A. Housing, residential life, hospitality, business, or closely related work experiences.
B. College course work in Higher Education Administration, Student Personnel Administration, Hospitality Sciences, Business Sciences, Social or Behavioral Sciences, or related disciplines, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
- 30 semester hours equals six (6) months
- 60 semester hours or Associate's Degree equals one (1) year
- 90 semester hours equals two (2) years
- 120 semester hours or Bachelor's Degree equals three (3) years
- Master's Degree or higher equals four (4) years

Preferred Qualifications
1. Supervisory and organizational skills.
2. Computer literate and able to adapt to new systems.
3. Knowledge of University and residence hall systems including billing, OIM, PeopleSoft, StarRez amongst others.
4. Able to compile statistical data with UHS system and Microsoft suite.
5. Must be customer service oriented.
6. Must be able to effectively multi-task to complete work while dealing with frequent interruptions by varying constituents.


Salary

$18.25 - $22.00 per hour

The Civil Service examination for this classification is based on your application materials and responses to the supplemental questions. No participation other than submission of applicant materials is required from applicants that qualify to take the exam. If you meet the minimum required qualifications for this position, you will receive a score calculated based on your education and experience, and your name will be placed on the active employment register by exam score. After the application deadline, the names within the top three scores will be referred to the department for interview.
