Job Description
This position reviews and approves vouchers for payment in accordance with university policy, assists vendors with reconciling accounts, reviews travel vouchers and performs other functions which support the operation of the Business Office.

The Comptroller's Office, a unit of the Vice President for Finance and Planning division, is responsible for the oversight of financial transactions, reporting, and compliance. Departments within the Comptroller's Office include Accounting, Cashiers, Collections, E-Commerce, Investments and Cash Management, Payroll, Purchasing, Redbird Card and Student Accounts. The Comptroller's Office also manages the University's banking and debt financing activities.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
1. Any one or any combination of the following, totaling three (3) years (36 months) from the categories below:
A. Work experience and or training in Accounting or a closely related field
B. College course work and/or training in Accounting or a closely related field (including 12 semester hours in accounting)
-30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
-Associate’s Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
-90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
-Bachelor’s Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)
Preferred Qualifications
1. Ability to work independently.
2. Ability to prioritize assignments and work with multiple tasks.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Ability to learn and interpret rules, regulations, and procedures of the University, Board of Trustees and State of Illinois.
Salary
$18.25 - $23.73 per hour
