Job Description
The Director of Premium Events directly contributes to the success of Redbird Athletics by overseeing the planning and execution of all events utilizing premium athletic spaces such as Hancock Stadium, CEFCU Arena, and more. This position will be responsible for researching, cultivating, and securing rental agreements for external events, managing the day-to-day operations of club and suite areas, managing non-game day event rental revenue, organizing, staffing, and coordinating specified athletic events and operations, and coordinating any other special events as assigned.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Hospitality, Event Planning, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business Administration, Sports Management, Recreation Management, or related field.
2. One (1) year (12 months) of full-time or part-time equivalent professional work experience with event coordinating, development, sales, athletics (collegiate or professional), or other related field.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with a variety of populations.
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
5. Flexibility and adaptability to changes and unexpected situations.
6. Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment when making decisions under varying degrees of pressure.
7. Great attention to detail.
8. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
1. Master's degree in Hospitality, Event Planning, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business Administration, Sports Management, Recreation Management, or related field.
2. Two (2) years' event management
3. Experience supervising part-time staff; this includes the hiring, training, evaluation. and scheduling of staff for events, competitions, and services.
Salary
$45,000 - $55,000 annually
