Job Description

The Production Manager for the School of Theatre and Dance (SOTD) develops and maintains production calendars; works with the Production & Design faculty/staff and production teams to ensure deadlines and budgets are met; supervises the rehearsal process for each SOTD production; and along with other faculty/staff mentors, mentors student stage managers, and facilitates auditions for mainstage productions. For the Illinois Shakespeare Festival, the Production Manager develops and maintains production calendars; interviews and hires seasonal production staff; serves as a member of the Festival Management Team, meeting regularly throughout the year; works closely with the Technical Director and area budget managers to ensure deadlines and budgets are met; and provides onsite support for productions during the summer season.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Theatre or closely related field
Two years (24 months) of work experience serving as a production manager, a stage manager, or in theatre management.
Preferred Qualifications
M.FA. in Stage Management, Production Management, or related field
Teaching experience at the university level in theatre, stage management or a related field.
Basic knowledge of professional union contracts.

Salary

Up to $50,400 annual, combined with an excellent benefit package
