Job Description

Program Coordinator- Associate Registrar

Eastern Illinois University’s Registrars office is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Program Coordinator- Associate Registrar. This position is within the Division of Enrollment Management and is responsible for maintaining and safeguarding permanent records. The Office of the Registrar and Enrollment Management, guided by five core values, seeks candidates that identify with these core values. The Program Coordinator will work closely with the Registrar to manage all core functions of the Registrar’s Office. This is a high integrity position, and the right applicant will be an effective communicator with a high attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Salary will be $43,000.00 - $56,000.00 annual.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

Coordinate athletic eligibility and compliance with athletic rules and regulations.
Coordinate development of the academic calendar and exam schedules.
Assist Registrar with the beginning and end of term processes.
Member with multiple committees which make decisions concerning academic records, compliance, project management, proper coding of student data, and more.
Responsible for area of transfer articulation and compliance with the Illinois Articulation Initiative.
Oversee day-to-day operations, hiring, training, staff development, etc. while building relationships internally and externally.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution is required. 
Three years of professional work experience is required.  A Master’s Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one year of professional work experience.




Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, communication, social sciences, technology, health and human services, liberal arts, or a field related to the position is preferred
Two year’s work experience in higher education (registrar, admissions, financial aid, enrollment management, bursar, or closely related area) is preferred.
Work experience with academic policies, compliance, regulations, maintaining data in a student information system, leading projects and work teams is preferred.




The Civil Service Examination for this classification is a credentials assessment. No participation other than submission of applicant materials is required from qualified applicants.  Upon successful selection of a candidate, all scores will be voided from this register.
