Job Description

This position relates directly to new student outreach with emphasis on the recruitment of qualified prospective students. This position serves as a liaison with appropriate offices and agencies and conducting public presentations on financial aid programs. The Financial Aid Specialist is involved in the planning and administration of all recruitment and retention activities and programs. This position includes some responsibility for middle school outreach and recruitment of a diverse student population.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
1. Any one or combination totaling three (3) years (36 months) from the categories below:

a. College course work in any field:

-Associates Degree (60 semester hours) equals one (1) year (12 months)

-90-semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)

-Bachelor's Degree or higher (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)

b. Work experience coordinating office, business or customer service/relations activities

2. One (1) year (12 months) of full time (or part-time equivalent) of higher-education, student services, or closely related experience.

Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience in financial aid
2. Bilingual in Spanish

Salary

$3,400 - $3,856/month, commensurate with experience
