Job Description

This position serves as part of the leadership team in the Office of the University Registrar. This position will direct the investigation, planning, organizing, and implementation of impact initiatives that will benefit the Office of the University Registrar, faculty, staff, and students. This position will create and deliver training (for unit and campus colleagues) and create process and procedure documentation and communication. This position will complete research, data reporting/analysis in collaboration with appropriate units. This position will provide expertise and support for system implementations, testing, problem-solving, and enhancement initiatives. This position will represent the Office of the University Registrar at meetings and serve on various internal and external committees.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s or equivalent degree.

2. At least seven years of full-time (or part-time equivalent) work experience in higher education in/with:

a. Experience with academic/degree requirements and policies, curriculum processes/procedures, and data reporting.
b. Experience working with a student information system, specifically PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
c. Professional work experience providing direct client service for internal and external department customers.
d. Experience with creating and providing training/professional development.

3. Demonstrated skill in gathering, organizing, analyzing, and evaluating complex data/information.

4. Demonstrated experience utilizing various computer software packages, i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, etc.

1. Master’s Degree
2. Sound knowledge of Illinois State University academic policies and procedures

4. Supervisory experience
5. Project management experience

The Civil Service examination for this classification is based on your application materials and responses to the supplemental questions. No participation other than submission of applicant materials is required from applicants that qualify to take the exam. If you meet the minimum required qualifications for this position, you will receive a score calculated based on your education and experience, and your name will be placed on the active employment register by exam score. After the application deadline, the names within the top three scores will be referred to the department for interview. The active register for this classification will be voided when the position is filled.

Illinois State University is authorized to do business within the State of Illinois. All work under this appointment is required to be performed from within the State of Illinois. If hired, out-of-state candidates must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days from the start date for this position. Illinois residency requires proof of a valid Illinois driver’s license or a valid State of Illinois ID card. Failure to produce the required documentation within 180 calendar days will result in immediate termination of employment.
