Job Description

This position relates directly to new student outreach with emphasis on the recruitment of qualified prospective students. This position serves as a liaison with appropriate offices and agencies and conducts public presentations on financial aid programs. The Financial Aid Coordinator is involved in the planning and administration of all recruitment and retention activities and programs. This position includes some responsibility for middle school outreach and recruitment of a diverse student population.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
1. Any one or combination totaling three (3) years (36 months) from the categories below:

A. College coursework in any discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:

-30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
-Associate’s Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
-90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
-Bachelor’s Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)

B. Work experience coordinating office, business, or customer service/relations activities.

2. One (1) year (12 months) of higher education, student services, or closely related experience.


Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience in financial aid
2. Bilingual in Spanish

Salary

$3,400 - $3,856/month, commensurate with experience
