Job Description

The System and Reporting Administrator maintains infrastructure for grant management system using the current platform; oversees the grant management system’s user management; provides technical assistance to campus users and troubleshoots issues; manages new feature integrations and roll-out of systems used by the Office of Research and Graduate Studies; oversees data management and conducts periodic audits to ensure data integrity; and prepares reports for campus leadership and external constituents as needed.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications
Any one or any combination totaling one year (12 months) from the following categories:
a. College coursework which includes Information Technology, IT systems, or a related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
- 30 semester hours equals one year (12 months)
b. Work experience in an IT or closely related field
Demonstrated ability to listen to and communicate with diverse stakeholders (technical and non-technical)
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Excellent technical skills
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to:
a. understand and translate complex requirements
b. multitask well under pressure, simultaneously handling a variety of projects and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a computer science or data analysis field or master’s degree
Research experience in a field with regulatory compliance aspects (e.g., IRB, IACUC, IBC)
Experience with research administration, either as a grant manager or in a university research office
Experience related to analyzing and maintaining data in an enterprise system or data warehouse
Experience supporting research administration software systems


Salary

$23.07 - $26.66 per hour

The Civil Service examination for this classification is based on your application materials and responses to the supplemental questions. No participation other than submission of applicant materials is required from applicants that qualify to take the exam. If you meet the minimum required qualifications for this position, you will receive a score calculated based on your education and experience, and your name will be placed on the active employment register by exam score. After the application deadline, the names within the top three scores will be referred to the department for interview. The active register for this classification will be voided when the position is filled.
