Eastern Illinois University is seeking candidates for a full-time Civil Service position of Office Manager for the Office of International Students and Scholars. The Office of International Student and Scholars does all recruitment, admission, and retention for international students. The position of Office Manager reports to the Assistant Dean for International Education and assists OISS with the following duties:

Answers and forwards incoming phone calls
Responds to emails from staff, faculty, and students - Assists with incoming mail
Assists staff with office communication
Assists with international student service requests
Welcome students as soon as they arrive at the office
Provides accurate information in-person, via phone and email to faculty, staff, students and third party.
Serves as a Designated School Official (DSO) authorized by the Department of Homeland Security to issue initial I-20s to incoming international students, and update student records


Qualifications

Qualified candidates must be a high school graduate or equivalent and have 24 months of clerical/office support work experience comparable to that performed at the Office Support Specialist level of this series or in other positions of comparable responsibility.


Salary

$15.95/hour
