Job Summary
Technology Solutions is seeking a Project Manager (PM) to help guide technology-focused projects to successful completion. PM will work on concurrent projects with the technical responsibilities of managing the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing phases of a project. In addition, the project manager demonstrates the level of soft skills needed to build, guide and support the project team, while displaying a servant leadership attitude. The PM will bring a level of experience, flexibility in adapting PMI-regimented processes to our environment, and ideas to grow the value delivered by project managers to the University.
Primary responsibilities include the following:
Direct, plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously by employing the appropriate project management framework and tools to create the best path to meet the intended business value and goals.
Create and direct overall project management plans while managing scope, schedule, budget, and quality, and promote the health of the project throughout its lifecycle.
Build and develop project teams to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, direction, and motivation
Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget.
Analyze project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met
Establish and maintain relationships with project stakeholders by providing updates on project status and changes

Position Highlights:
There is the potential for 100% remote work in this position, Illinois residency is required. Eligibility is based upon employee performance, appropriate remote working environment, and business needs.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or equivalent degree in technology, business administration, or related field
Minimum of two years (24 months) of relevant project management experience or Master’s certification in Project Management
Two years (24 months) of full-time work experience as part of an IT or technology organization
Experience with project management methodologies and best practices
Proven ability to complete projects through the full lifecycle according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and exceptional attention to detail.
Experience working in a complex, matrix environment that requires flexibility and adaptability.
Confident self-starter, capable of managing work and making decisions independently
Have good understanding of IT development and integration practices, project infrastructure needs, testing and general application support needs
Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.
Demonstrated ability to assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Project Management, Business, Information Systems, or a related field
Certificate in Project Management
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Other Project Management certifications
Two years' experience in higher education administrative systems
Salary
$62,500 - $85,000 annual
