Job Description
The Illinois Center for Specialized Professional Support (ICSPS) Office Support Specialist will assist with the implementation of Center activities, primarily the set up and coordination of materials for professional development events, setting up meeting space, and supporting OMA compliance of the Illinois Workforce Innovation Board (IWIB). This person will assist ICSPS editing and updating information on the Center websites, editing of material resources to be used for professional learning, preparing materials for professional development events, scheduling events, and posting workshops, conferences, and meetings materials.
The candidate will have the ability to remain flexible, proactive, resourceful, positive, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail. This position requires independent work with limited supervision, reporting to the Illinois Center for Specialized Professional Support Director and working closely with and in support of all positions at ICSPS.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
1. High school graduation or equivalent
2. Twelve (12) months of clerical/office support work experience comparable to that performed at the Office Support Associate level of this series or in other positions of comparable responsibility
3. Any one or combination totaling twenty-four (24) months from the following categories:
(a) work experience performing clerical/office support work, including use of computer systems
(b) vocational training that provided a knowledge of generally accepted clerical procedures
(c) college or university course work in Office Occupations, Business Administration, Business Education, or closely related fields
- 36 semester hours = twenty-four (24) months
(d) college or university course work in any curriculum
- 60 semester hours = twenty-four (24) months
Desired Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
2. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
3. Proven customer service skills and the ability to work with a diverse constituency.
4. Possession of strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and MachForm.
5. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
6. Ability to multitask and self-manage assigned projects and daily tasks in an environment with shifting priorities.
7. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including traveling, and the possession of a valid driver's license.
8. Three to five years of relevant work experience.
9. Knowledge of Word Press and or Joomila.
10. Knowledge of OMA.
Salary
$16.68 - $17.33 per hour
