Job Description

Eastern Illinois University is seeking a full-time Accounting Specialist in the Martin Luther King Jr. University Union. This position is responsible for the daily operation of the Union Ticket Office and the Panther Pantry. Duties will include:

Daily cash balance
Balancing Panther Card purchases
Review accounts payable for accuracy and ensure receipt of products.
Maintain records for credit card purchases

Qualifications

The qualified candidate must meet the following requirements:

1. Any one or combination totaling two (2) years from the categories below:
A. Coursework in accounting, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
-9 semester hours equals two (2) years
B. Coursework in any discipline or a closely related field, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional
equivalent:
- 30 semester hours equals one (1) year
-Associate’s degree (60 semester hours equals eighteen (18) months
-90 semester hours equals two (2) years
2. Two (2) years of work experience which could include bookkeeping, office support, or a closely related field.
