The Department of Event Management, Dining, and Hospitality is one of 13 departments within the Division of Student Affairs. It provides the campus community and guests with high-quality, efficient, and innovative event services and dining options in a variety of settings dedicated to accentuating and enhancing the campus experience in a diverse community.
Event Management, Dining, and Hospitality is committed to providing an outstanding dining experience for students. This position plays an integral role in accomplishing this goal by providing high level and confidential administrative support to the Director and other department administrators. Frequently conducts research and completed projects that are instrumental to the strategic outcomes of the department.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business administration, management, or a field related to the position.
2. Two (2) years of high level professional administrative support or higher education administrative experience.
(NOTE: A Master’s Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year (12 months) of work experience.)
3. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and be a self-starter.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of basic computer programs, e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Visio.
5. Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel.
6. Demonstrated ability to organize, analyze and interpret data and have strong attention to detail.
7. Strong oral and written communication skills.
8. Demonstrated ability to exercise a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, dependability, and accuracy.
9. Acute time management and problem solving skills.
10. Demonstrated experience managing complex schedules/calendars for multiple staff members.
Salary
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
