Job Description

Under direct supervision from a Steam and Power Plant V or IV, performs skilled work in the repair, operation and maintenance of high-pressure steam boilers and equipment in the Heating Plant. Maintains, repairs, and operates HVAC and building mechanical systems throughout all of the campus facilities.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications
1. Two (2) years (24 months) of experience in the maintenance and operation of steam and power plant equipment.
2. One (1) year (12 months) of work experience comparable to the next lower level of the series.
3. Valid driver's license.
4. A final candidate must complete a post-offer pre-employment physical exam. Employment is contingent on the successful result of the pre-employment physical.

Desired Qualifications
1. High School education.
2. Vocational training in general science and physics.
3. Computer Operation knowledge.
4. Ability to work with a wide variety of University personnel.
5. Ability to organize and plan.
6. Ability to resolve problems and follow-up with outcome.


Salary

$38.22/hour
