Job Description
The Accounting Officer is responsible for all operational fiscal transactions for the National Board Resource Center (NBRC). This work includes paying invoices for several grant accounts, scheduling travel and processing travel vouchers, keeping records of expenses for accounts, and reconciling expense records. This work also includes preparing and processing contracts and working with vendors on the details of the contracts. This position also assists with trainings and meetings, managing the fiscal side of events, and preparing and submitting financial reports. Lastly, this position is responsible for communicating with NBRC team members in the field regarding Illinois State University policies, procedures, and protocols with regards to fiscal management.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Any one or any combination totaling two years (24 months) from the categories below:
(a) course work in accounting, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
- 9 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
(b) course work in any discipline as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
- 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
- Associate's degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen (18) months
-90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
(c) work experience which could include bookkeeping, office support, or closely related experience
Desired Qualifications
Knowledge of online accounting systems such as Datatel, Sharepoint, or quick books.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Salary
$17.35 - $18.00 per hour
