Job Description
The position serves as the student/admissions manager for the Educational Administration & Foundations (EAF) department. They are involved in all facets of admissions and student progression through the program of study. This includes setting up student interviews, processing student admissions applications, maintaining student files, working with student scholarship and tuition waivers, and working with dissertation committees. This position also serves as the assistant to the Department Chair, including keeping his calendar, assisting with scheduling, academic reports, and event planning.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
High school graduation or equivalent
Twenty-four (24) months of clerical/office support work experience comparable to that performed at the Office Support Specialist level of this series or in other positions of comparable responsibility
Desired Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites, especially Excel and Access databases.
Knowledge of Cognos.
Detail oriented and highly organized individual who maintains detailed and confidential records.
Strong communication skills in assisting customers and varying constituents and managing difficult conversations.
Time management skills and ability to manage varying processes and competing priorities.
Ability to work as a member of a team and provide leadership in different processes/projects.
Experience with event planning.
Appreciation of diversity and creating an inclusive environment for students and staff.
Knowledge of Graduate School policies and regulations.
Salary
$16.84 - $17.49 per hour
