Job Description

General Summary
This position works on the Graduate Admissions team and contributes to the development and implementation of communication/messaging for the Graduate School, primarily focusing on prospective student outreach. The primary focus for this individual will be working in Slate (CRM) and developing ways to improve messaging and the graduate student experience. This individual will also collaborate with campus partners and communications team to improve messaging that is personalized, timely, and relevant to the needs of our diverse audiences. This position also understands the graduate application and admissions process and occasionally meets and presents to prospective students. This position provides process improvement recommendations and is knowledgeable on how to implement those recommendations in Slate. The position requires an overall knowledge of recruitment and customer relationship management systems.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in marketing, business administration, communications, public relations, or a field closely related to this position.

2. One year (12 months) of professional level work experience in a professional area related to the job.

Note: Master’s degree in an area consistent with the duties may be substituted for the 12 months of work experience.

3. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

4. Excellent organization skills.

5. Ability to present admissions information to prospective students and graduate coordinators.

6. Ability to work cooperatively with external and internal constituents.

7. Experience with utilizing a customer relationship management system (CRM) to communicate with audiences

Desired Qualifications
1. Experience of working specifically with Slate

2. Ability to work with team and recommend compelling content through a variety of media for the purpose of engaging prospective and current students.

3. Strong attention to detail and excellent assessment skills

4. Previous experience working in Admissions.


Salary

$40,000 - $45,000 annual

The Civil Service examination for this classification is based on your application materials. No participation other than submission of applicant materials is required from applicants that qualify to take the exam. If you meet the minimum required qualifications for this position, you will receive a score calculated based on your education and experience, and your name will be placed on the active employment register by exam score. After the application deadline, the names within the top three scores will be referred to the department for interview. The active register for this classification will be voided when the position is filled.
