Job Description

The Director of Marketing & Recruitment assumes primary responsibilities for designing, developing, and administering a comprehensive and effective marketing and recruitment plan for the college in support of all undergraduate and graduate programs. Leading a team effort through collaboration with program Directors and academic advisors will prove critical to advancing college initiatives in this area. This role is pivotal in enhancing the visibility of the college through overseeing the College’s web and social media presence and attendance at targeted college recruitment events.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or equivalent degree in communications, public relations, business administration, marketing, or related field.
Twelve or more months of professional work experience in marketing, analytics, public relations, communications, brand management, or a related professional area.
Proven ability to develop and execute marketing and strategic communications plans to effect outcomes.
Educational or vocational experience as a communications professional in the areas of marketing management, recruitment, advertising, public relations, or related area, with proven ability to develop and execute marketing, and strategic communications plans preferably in higher education.
Demonstrated leadership competency and ability to work effectively with senior leadership team.
Superior writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail and the capacity to handle multiple projects concurrently.
Highly evolved teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to develop productive working relationships with multiple internal and external constituencies.
Ability to represent the College with a high degree of professionalism.
An understanding of how to leverage the college website to maximize its marketing potential.
Ability to merge web and print mediums into a cohesive marketing strategy.
Expertise in the use of image editing software.
Familiarity with the basics of hypertext markup language (html) underlying modern web pages.
Effective writing skills for targeting web audiences.
The ability to use Google Analytics to run reports on visits to the college website.
Experience managing paid digital advertising campaigns.

Desired Qualifications
Master’s degree in communications, public relations, business administration, marketing.
Alternatively, a degree in nursing with relevant experience.
Knowledge of publishing and design standards/ software. Knowledge of social media analytics.
Successful supervisory and staff development experience.
Professional experience in an institution of higher education.


Salary

$51,240 - $57,240 annual

The Civil Service examination for this classification is based on your application materials. No participation other than submission of applicant materials is required from applicants that qualify to take the exam. If you meet the minimum required qualifications for this position, you will receive a score calculated based on your education and experience, and your name will be placed on the active employment register by exam score. After the application deadline, the names within the top three scores will be referred to the department for interview. The active register for this classification will be voided when the position is filled.
