Job Description
The Eastern Illinois University’s College of Education is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Director of the School of Extended Learning. This position will be responsible for the daily oversite of the School of Extended Learning. Duties of this position will include:
— Program Director for the new College of Education Professional Development Institute.
— Supervise the credit programming for the School of Extended Learning.
— Collaborate with academic departments on undergraduate and graduate off campus cohort programs.
— Develop a budget for existing and new non-credit programs. Determine projected costs, revenue and expenditures and estimate registration fees. Act as fiscal agent for accounts.
— Monitor enrollment figures, income, and expenditures for non-credit programs to determine if it is cost effective.
— Determine the facility/site to be used for non-credit programs, establish and schedule activities, and develop marketing materials to promote the programs.
— Seek out prospective new clients and prepare Request for Proposals to outline the duties and responsibilities of the School of Extended Learning.
— Some traveling may be required.
Qualifications
Requirements: Master’s degree and two years of experience in Extended Learning/Continuing Education, Adult Education, Event Planning, or a related area. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in budget, event planning, supervision, current technology (i.e. Microsoft Programs, specifically Access; videoconferencing such as Zoom/Teams).
