Job Description
The Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) is looking for an Assistant Director of Human Resources and Development to join our highly skilled and motivated team. The Assistant Director will be responsible for participating in the management of all HRD programs and processes involved in the areas of Employment and Examinations, Compensation and Classification, Training and Development, as well as Benefits and Employee Relations. This division initiates and maintains programs, systems, and methods that support the agency and its employees in meeting the goals and mission of the agency. This position will be involved in initiation, implementation and interpretation of agency policies and procedures. Our Assistant Director will also assist in Affirmative Action/EEO reporting and activities. This full-time position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources and Development and is located in Deerfield, IL.
Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Human Resources or other business related field required. MBA or other Masters degree preferred.
• Minimum ten years of management work experience in the Human Resources field required.
• Experience managing the Employee Relations function required.
• Experience in a governmental environment a plus.
