Job Description

The Stevenson Center Assistant Director has significant responsibility in the sustainability and growth of the Stevenson Center for Community and Economic Development. Facilitates the functioning of an interdisciplinary graduate program and community service organization. Responsible for supervision of staff in recruitment, professional practice placement, advisement, and assessment. Directly responsible for program and resource development, public relations, meeting strategic goals, curricular development, intra-university relations, ongoing AmeriCorps and Peace Corps programs, and outreach to stakeholders.

The Assistant Director is responsible for:
1. Operations, program/resource development, and program assessment
2. Recruitment, supervision, and advisement
3. Communication and outreach
4. Raise funds for the Stevenson Center through grants and contracts, which are essential to meet the operational costs of the Center and provide funding for staff positions, including the Assistant Director.


Qualifications

Master's degree
Three years of professional experience in non-profit or government agency
AmeriCorps alum and/or returned Peace Corps volunteer


Salary

$50,000 - $55,000 annual

The Civil Service examination for this classification is based on your application materials. No participation other than submission of applicant materials is required from applicants that qualify to take the exam. If you meet the minimum required qualifications for this position, you will receive a score calculated based on your education and experience, and your name will be placed on the active employment register by exam score. After the application deadline, the names within the top three scores will be referred to the department for interview. The active register for this classification will be voided when the position is filled.
