Job Description

This position serves as Sales Manager of TechZone. TechZone provides technology resources and vendor e-commerce solutions to students, faculty, staff, and annuitants in purchasing personal computers and related items, as well as University departments with the acquisition of personal computer equipment and related peripherals.

Technology Solutions provides information technology products and services for the administrative and business functions of Illinois State University. Through our Technology Support Center and our highly trained staff, Technology Solutions looks to improve the campus experience for all students, faculty, staff, and the rest of the campus community.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field.
Minimum two (2) years of face-to-face retail sales and customer service experience.
Familiarity with both PC and Mac computing environments, as well as a variety of mobile operating systems (Android, iOS, etc.), common browsers, and applications
Self-motivated, including the ability to research and learn independently.
Ability to be a productive member of the TechZone Team.

Desired Qualifications
Graphics and editing experience with an aptitude for the creation of online, print, and other media
Experience working with Point-of-Sale and inventory/stocking systems
Experience supervising and managing a retail team
Experience incorporating technology in a higher education environment
Specific knowledge of technology trends within a college or university environment.

Salary

$51,000 - $56,000 annual
