Eastern Illinois University’s Information Technology Services is seeking qualified applicants for the position of IT Manager/Administrative Coordinator—System Administration. This position will work closely with the Executive Director of Information Technology Services to determine objectives for the department and develop plans for implementation. Responsibilities will include coordinate the System Administration staff and work activities; coordinate software and service implementations, upgrades and conversions; monitor system performance; and assist the IT leadership team with planning, research and recommendations for new technology.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must have 6 years of progressively more responsible work experience in IT-related profession or a combination totaling six years of work experience and college coursework in Information Technology, IT Management or related field where an Associate’s Degree or 60 semester hours equals one year, 90 semester hours equals two years and a Bachelor’s Degree or 120 semester hours equals three years, and two years of experience in a supervisory or lead system administration capacity. (Note: only a maximum of three years credit for college is available.)

Additional requirements are 5 years’ experience with System Administration with Windows or Linux and 5 years’ experience with virtualized environments.
