Job Description

The Senior Specialist serves as advisor to Interfraternity Council, College Panhellenic Council, Black Greek Leadership Council, and/or United Greek Council. The Senior Specialist develops and coordinates programs and services for chapters and members, with emphasis on recruitment and intake, housing, risk reduction, diversity and inclusion, and leadership and organizational development. The Senior Specialist will help manage the formal recruitment process for College Panhellenic Council and Interfraternity Council including planning, implementation, and assessment. They will provide support to culturally based chapters in their membership intake as well. Additionally, the Senior Specialist will maintain relationships with national organizations, assist with conduct violation investigations, maintain chapter data, and travel with student delegations to conferences. The Senior Specialist supervises graduate assistants, student employees and interns.


Qualifications

1. Master's degree.

2. A minimum of two (2) years of full-time work experience with higher education students in a higher education environment.

If this position is Security Sensitive or if you are subject to a criminal background investigation based on University policy, then employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation. You may not begin work until the criminal background investigation results have been received and cleared by Human Resources.


Salary

43,000 annually

The Civil Service examination for this classification is based on your application materials. No participation other than submission of applicant materials is required from applicants that qualify to take the exam. If you meet the minimum required qualifications for this position, you will receive a score calculated based on your education and experience, and your name will be placed on the active employment register by exam score. After the application deadline, the names within the top three scores will be referred to the department for interview. The active register for this classification will be voided when the position is filled.
