Job Description
This is a generalist position in Diversity Advocacy. The Specialist is responsible for planning and delivering programs and services, primarily to student populations, related to diversity, inclusion, equity, justice, and anti-racism. The Specialist also utilizes expertise in diversity/inclusion to engage in student outreach, assesses programs and services, and conducts select presentations and trainings on issues of diversity and inclusion. The Specialist advises one or more Registered Student Organizations and/or ad hoc student groups affiliated with the unit.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree
2. One of the following:
a. Two years of professional experience in diversity/inclusion programming and/or advisement of student organizations.
b. Completion of a Master's degree in Student Affairs, Student Personnel, Social Work, Ethnic or Women's Studies or similar degree program.
If this position is Security Sensitive or if you are subject to a criminal background investigation based on University policy, then employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation. You may not begin work until the criminal background investigation results have been received and cleared by Human Resources.
Salary
minimum $35,000 annual
