Job Description

Eastern Illinois University’s Health and Counseling Service’ Medical Clinic s is seeking candidates for a Medical Technologist III to perform and supervise/manage clinical laboratory testing of patient specimens, and maintaining the requirements for accreditation. This is a full-time, 12-month position.


Qualifications

Qualified candidates must meet the following requirements:
1. be an Illinois resident
2. have a Bachelor’s degree
3. have graduated from an accredited program for Medical Laboratory Scientists
4. be board certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent agency
5. five years of experience as a clinical laboratory technologist in a clinical laboratory of a hospital or out-patient clinic, two years of which must have been at a level comparable to that gained at the Level II of this series ,
“OR”
a Master’s degree in medical technology, biology, microbiology, chemistry, physiology or closely related field, or a MBA plus a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology and four years of experience as a clinical laboratory technologist in a clinical laboratory of a hospital or out-patient clinic, two years of which must have been at a level comparable to the Medical Technologist II.


Salary

$3833/month minimum
