Job Description
The Department of Event Management, Dining, and Hospitality is one of 12 departments within the Division of Student Affairs. It provides the campus community and guests with high-quality, efficient, and innovative event services and dining options in a variety of settings dedicated to accentuating and enhancing the campus experience in a diverse community.
Event Management, Dining, and Hospitality is committed to providing an outstanding dining experience for students, faculty, staff, and guests. This position plays an integral role by assisting with the supervision of food service for special events, banquets, receptions, coffee service, luncheons, cultural meals, and dinners. This position requires the ability to think on one's feet, make on the spot decisions, and be flexible in work schedule to meet the needs of our customers.

Qualifications
1. High school graduation or equivalent.
2. Two (2) years of food service supervisory experience or University training in dietetics, hotel management, institutional management, or related fields (verify with transcript).

If required by the position to be filled, the operating unit may require that the two years of experience have been in a specialized area (such as meat cutting or bakery operation), in which case university training in dietetics, hotel management, institutional management, or related fields may be substituted, year for year, up to a maximum of only one year of the required experience.
3. If this position is Security Sensitive or if you are subject to a criminal background investigation based on University policy, employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation. You may not begin work until the criminal background investigation results have been received and cleared by Human Resources.
4. A final candidate must complete a post-offer pre-employment physical exam. Employment is contingent on the successful result of the pre-employment physical.
Salary
$15.20 - $18.89 per hour
