Job Description
Student Accounts is responsible for the Campus Solutions and TouchNet systems that handle the student billing. The student billing system processes the various charges of attending Illinois State University. Student Accounts is a customer service department working with students, parents and many departments of the campus community.
Duties are of a problem solving nature as well as clerical. The Cashier III requires a knowledge of University policy and office procedures. The purpose of the work of the Cashier III is to receipt money and to solve problems in the most efficient way according to University policy. The Cashier's work affects the customer's records and also various business offices on campus.
Qualifications
1. Twelve (12) months of work experience at the Cashier II level.
2. Any one or combination of the following types of ADDITIONAL preparation:
(a) Twelve (12) months of additional cashier work experience as described below; OR
(b) Twelve (12) semester hours college coursework in accounting, finance, data processing or management (verify with transcript); OR
(c) Two (2) semesters of credit for high school training in accounting (verify with transcript) (Letter C only counts for ½ of the requirements needed for #2. Remainder would need to be made up from qualification #2A or #2B.
3. If this position is Security Sensitive or if you are subject to a criminal background investigation based on University policy, employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation. You may not begin work until the criminal background investigation results have been received and cleared by Human Resources.
Salary
$13.14 - $13.92 per hour
