Listed below are changes we've made to our website to keep you informed and current.

Our website is moving. Please update your favorites to point to our new address of www.sucss.illinois.gov. Our old site (www.sucss.state.il.us) will continue to work, but an announcement will be made soon as to when it will stop working.

Human Resource offices, or any location that has links to our old site, should notify their IT Department to have those links updated.

Homepage and overall site layout
Completely redesigned the homepage to incorporate new features of the website, including Legal Updates, Civil Service Spotlight, Google™ Translation tools. The menu has been designed to group common functions and include more options, making it easier and quicker to find what you are looking for without having links buried.

Calendar of Events
The calendar is now searchable, and includes all events for Merit Board, EAC, AAC, and HR Directors. Meetings can also be easily added to your Outlook calendar.

Audit Reports
The Audit Reports have been on the site before, but now they are easier to find and laid out better.

Legal Bill Tracker
The Legal Bill Tracker monitors relevant legislative activity, particularly in the area of labor and employment. This is updated periodically by our Legal Counsel, and is searchable for faster results.

Practice Typing Test
We have written a new typing test that incorporates new features and removes others that were most frequently asked for by applicants and universities. This new test is written in Silverlight and replaces the Java version.

Study Guides
We have added to the Study Guides a final results section that reveals all the answers and calculates how well you did.

Universities and Agencies
The Universities and Agencies link now ties all the different aspects of how we relate to each University into one location. This page includes all board members, website links, employment postings, and news articles.

Salary Range Report
The Salary Range Report is now searchable. Enter in a report date (from January, 2009 to current), Agency/University, and a Classification. You can also add another classification for search comparison.

Class/Exam Status Notices
We have updated this page to make it cleaner, and easier to track changes.

Procedure Manuals
The Procedure Manuals forms can now be filled out online and printed for submission. In fact, all of the forms on our website can now be filled out electronically.

Civil Service Spotlight
Part of our ongoing effort to recognize outstanding Civil Service employees, we now have links to Universities that recognize excellent in Civil Service. If your University recognizes Civil Service employees, please let us know.

Additional Changes

• Searchable Pages: many of the updated pages now include search features that did not exist before, including News Archives and Employment Opportunities.
• Page Printing: Automatically removes menus and header/footer images and text, making for a cleaner print.
