Job Description

The Web Developer works within a team environment performing web development. This position will spend the majority of time supporting an internal solution development project to bridge the gaps in our exiting Account tools. Work will primarily include the technical analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of our custom budget management tool.


1. Technically focused Associates' degree from accredited institution or 3 years hands on work experience with complex software solutions
2. Minimum of one year experience developing and/or supporting software, including on-call and off-hours support
3. Minimum of one year experience with Source Control, Defect Management, and Incident Management Software Tools
4. Minimum of one year experience collecting technical requirements and designing appropriate software solutions
5. Minimum of one year demonstrated experience in software testing, including unit testing and integration testing
6. Minimum of one year experience in web development utilizing the following technologies:
a. JavaScript frameworks (i.e Vue.js, Angular, React)
b. HTML/CSS via preprocessors like LESS
7. Experience with UI/UX design
8. Experience consuming and authoring web services using protocols like SOAP and REST
9. Strong customer service skills along with a desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability.
10. Ability to work independently and in a team environment with good communication and collaboration skills
11. Ability to work with considerable latitude and independence of action.
12. Be able to clearly communicate complex technical concepts verbally and in writing to management, technical staff, and customers in terms appropriate for each audience
13. Ability to analyze large amounts of detailed information, quickly understand complex issues, and break information down into more manageable pieces
14. Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements
15. Strong analysis, research, and time management skills, reflected in the ability to derive and document technical specifications and designs
16. Foundation qualification in Information Technology Infrastructure (ITIL) v3 or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire
17. If this position is Security Sensitive or if you are subject to a criminal background investigation based on University policy, employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation. You may not begin work until the criminal background investigation results have been received and cleared by Human Resources.


$48,000 - $63,000 annually
