Manual: Examination Procedures

Subsection: Administering Training and Experience Examinations

The Modified Education and Experience examination is an informational supplement to application in which the applicant is asked to supply information regarding work experience and education. The placement officer/monitor shall issue the informational supplement upon applicant’s completion of the employment application and after determination of applicant meeting the minimum qualifications of the classification. The applicant shall be encouraged to follow all directions and to complete every part of this examination. Since only the completed sections can be evaluated by the graders, the placement officer/monitor shall make sure the applicant understands and realizes the importance of following the directions and completing the supplement (examination). The applicant may ask the placement officer/monitor to clarify any section on the informational supplement. The System Office should be contacted if there are any questions about administering the examination. A rating sheet is provided with each informational supplement on which the applicant’s score shall be computed.
